How are the kids assigned to cabins? They are put in cabins by the grade they just completed and by gender.

Who are the counselors? All the counselors are people who have been background checked from Lima Community Church. Many of them are those who serve in Children’s Ministry so the kids are already familiar with them. Miss Pam directs the camp and several of our staff members are there as well.

Where is this camp? It is in Bellefontaine, OH at Camp Cotubic. We have been going there for 23 years now.

Do the kids ride on a bus to camp? No - parents need to transport their children there on the 6th and back home on the 8th.

What if my child has food allergies? Please let us know so we can try to make arrangements to have what they need.

What if my child wets the bed? Again, just let us know so we can let your child’s counselor know. We handle these things very discreetly and want to help every child in any way we can.

What if my child needs medication? We do take nurses with us who are a part of Lima Community Church. All meds are given to the nurses; and they give the meds to the children as directed by the parents. Everything is documented.

When is the parent meeting? There is a meeting in the Sanctuary at Lima Community Church on Sunday May 18th at 4:00pm. This is where you will receive a complete information packet with directions to the camp, a schedule for the weekend, a list of what to pack, and you can meet your child’s counselor. It’s a great time to share with the counselor any needs your child may have.
